Swell Scan Feb 6, 2009

Here's a look at what's happening across the Pacific to bring swell to California. Looks like a lot of wind swell on the horizon, and possibly something for the 13th, although models aren't optimistic about it right now.

If you want to be notified when new Swell Scan videos are posted, you can sign up to the email list using the form at the top right of this page.

If you've ever wondered what models I use in the forecasts, I've put together a Most Used Models page at the Surf Forecasting Group which gives my review on various weather and wave models in the public domain. If you want to join this group, you can send an empty email to surf-forecasting-subscribe@googlegroups.com, or if you have a Google account, you can use the Join this group link at the group's home page.

And, for the latest swell schedule for California with size, ETAs, winds and tides, check out my SoCal surf report at WetSand.com.

Until next time, take care, be safe, and smile in the line-up!
